You all may not know this, but our Rob is an Artist in real time. And we are excited to announce he has an opening at Soda Rock Winery on Monday Feb 19th from 5pm to 8pm. Join us to see his incredible exhibition Beyond Crude. This is a deeply moving and provacative exhibit of paintings, multimedia sculptures and photographs. Do not miss the chance to see this show while we all imagine a world without Oil.
2018 hold on to your dreams
As we head into 2018 I am hoping we gain the strength to fight the battles worth fighting to protect human rights and american dreams. As a small business owner that works with other small local businesses I hope we can stay on track to support each other and provide for those in our community.
The Gypsy Cafe is proud to be a part of West County in the heart of Sebastopol. We are surrounded by kind neighbors and wonderful local farmers, cheese makers, wineries, breweries, cider and kefir makers, artisans, ranchers, naturalists, musicians and so much more. Happy New Year and we look forward to being a part of your day.
Local Holiday Artisans
Gypsy Cafe loves the holidays. We love the colored lights, the chance to hang with friends now that the days are shorter. Don’t forget we have Gypsy gift certificates if you want to SHOP LOCAL, we also have Barbara Paulson’s gorgeous Native American inspired jewelry for the holiday season and Hand Blown ornaments from Ryan and Brenna who own West County Glass in Sebastopol. We also have gorgeous bracelets from our pal Pell. More reasons to come on in to the Gypsy. Happy Holidays!
Sonoma County love prevails
The thing about Sonoma County is people have strong roots. Strong roots to the land they were raised on, roots to growing food, raising animals, making cheese and cider and wine. So many people have families that have been here for generations. The Gypsy suppliers are local families and when the going got tough, people stuck together and helped each other.
Immigrants have come to our county for decades because we needed their help, and to many it reminds them of home.
It may take some time to recover what we just lost in this fire storm, but I know Sonoma County will rise from the ashes with love and grace. Come visit when things calm down and support our local businesses to rebuild our strength and hope
