Heading to New Mexico to get my favorite chiles and chile powders to add to our Gypsy Spice cabinet. There is nothing better than a little roasted green Chimayo chile powder in aioli on fresh salmon. I buy in bulk and keep my friends supplied with these sacred spices to add to chowders and southwestern dishes.
Heading into the Holidays
Gypsy Cafe loves the holidays. We love the colored lights, the chance to hang with friends now that the days are shorter. Don’t forget we have Gypsy gift certificates if you want to SHOP LOCAL, we are also selling Barbara Paulson’s gorgeous Native American inspired jewelry for the holiday season. We are also selling Hand Blown ornaments from Ryan and Brenna who own West County Glass in Sebastopol. More reasons to come on in to the Gypsy. Happy Holidays!
Fall is coming OMG
Labor Day weekend is upon us and the weather is changing. Harvest is near. We live in paradise and its always a joy this time of year. We will be serving Prime Rib or Wild Salmon Friday night and we are also one of the sponsors for the Cajun festival. Come eat then go dance at Ives Park. Its been a lovely summer, and we look forward to our Fall Music Series starting with Craig Corona playing his John Denver Tribute Oct. 22. Our Saturday night Fall Concerts are lining up, we will keep you posted. Happy Fall.
5 year Anniversary
I have been surrounded by amazing people for the past 5 years at my sweet little cafe and as we gear up to start the next 5, I just want to say thanks to my incredible staff who work beyond hard and give me something to be proud of every day. And to Sebastopol for making us your town cafe. And to all of our friends who show up rain or shine and enjoy the food, the conversation, the music. We love what we do and we hope to continue to support West County vendors and serve our Local community. Year six starts Aug. 3rd. Here’s to another great 5 years. Thanks for the support!
